How are they installed?
Silk by Design’s Drop-in Garden Inserts are designed to perfectly fit your planter box or space. Installation is as easy as placing the pre-planted artificial greenery in, then covering the blocks with your preferred finishing material. Installed in minutes.
What finishing materials are available?
Silk by Design offers four finishing options for our Drop-in Gardens. Pine Bark is included as our standard option, with artificial moss, white stones and/or black rubber chips available on request.
What sizes are available?
Silk by Design offers a few standardised options for our Drop-in Gardens for common planter box/trough planters available in the market. These are Narrow, Medium and Wide profiles and are priced per linear meter. If your platner/space is outside of these dimensions, we will design specifically for your project.
Can they be custom-made?
Every Drop-in Garden Insert is made to order with precision and care. The manufacturing process can take between 14 and 21 days for each project, depending on complexity. Complete the form below with your requirements for an obligation-free quote.
Can they fit existing planters?
In most circumstances, yes, but please reach out to us if you are not sure or have an odd-sized or shaped planter.
What is the Length, Width and Height?
The dimensions length, width and depth (height) are the internal measurements (not external) of the space or planter box. This includes any lips, frames, trim or wall thickness that the insert needs to clear the opening. This gives us a reference of how big or small your insert needs to be to fit inside the space/planter box or joinery.
Can they go outdoors?
Our standard Drop-In-Gardens are not recommended for outdoor use, but we do have a range of UV-resistant plants available for outdoor projects. This ensures they will not fade or become brittle over time in harsh conditions.
How are they cleaned?
Minimal maintenance and upkeep are needed compared to real plants. To keep foliage fresh and vibrant: Dust occasionally with a soft, damp cloth. Read our post on ‘How to clean artificial plants‘ for more info.
Can you install it for me?
