What’s in the Box

What’s Included

  • Your chosen Silk by Design artificial flower arrangement.
  • Robust packaging to make sure your arrangement arrives safely.
  • Unboxing Instructions

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

With our proprietary packaging, your arrangement is guaranteed to have arrived in perfect condition. Having said that, it may take a little bit of extra work to unbox.

It is recommended to have a pair of scissors and/or a knife to hand, as these tools will make the task much easier. Warning: Please be careful with scissors and knives, as the sharp edge/point may cause injury if used incorrectly. Always cut in a direction that’s away from your body.

Place the box on a work surface, countertop so that it is at a comfortable height.

Take note of the “this way up” arrows on your box. This is the best starting orientation.

As shown, unboxing instructions are available on the side of the box (this box opens from the bottom).

Silk by Design - Arrangements unboxing - Start with box on table

Rotate the box onto its side so that you can access the base (bottom) of the box.

Don’t worry, the “water” in the vase won’t spill.

Using a knife, cut the packing tape along the join, all the way around the perimeter of the base.

You may find it easier to rotate the box as you go.

Cutting the base of the box

Return the box to the starting, upright position

Carefully lift the box off the base and clear of your arrangement. You don’t want to damage the stems.

This step may require some light “jiggling”.

Wow, that’s pretty.

Unboxing - Revealing the arrangement inside

Remove the additional cardboard around the vase.

Unboxing - Remove internal packaging

Cut the white tie-down straps that secure your arrangement to the base of the box.

Scissors, or side cutters, are perfect for this.

Unboxing - Cut the retention tie down

Lift the inner box out and clear of the base. Set aside the cardboard base.

Pinch the edge of the vase with your fingers (don’t lift the arrangement by the stems), and lift the arrangement out of the inner box.

Unboxing - Remove Vase and Arrangement from box

Almost there.

Remove the protective bubble wrap from the vase.

Place your arrangement in the spot you had earmarked for it.

Voila, you’re done.

Pro Tips / Expert Advice

As careful as we are with packaging your arrangement, the flower stems may have moved out of place during shipping. Don’t worry, we have some expert styling tips from our design team to help you arrange the stems so that they look their best.

  • Artificial stems are designed to be flexible, but slow adjustments create the most natural result. If a stem resists, ease it back slightly and try again rather than pushing it into place.
  • Avoid squeezing or reshaping large sections at once. Instead, adjust one stem at a time, gently bending it into position using your fingers rather than force.
  • Turn the arrangement regularly and view it from all sides. This ensures it looks full and balanced from every angle, not just from the front.
  • Every few minutes, place the arrangement where it will be displayed and step back. Small adjustments made from a distance often have the biggest visual impact.
